Rooted in Community, Driven by Purpose
Empowerment in Los Angeles often starts when neighbors recognize overlooked needs and step up together. The Yes We Will Movement! emerged from this spirit, created when community members began meeting, sharing concerns, and joining forces to create solutions. These collective conversations grew into a grassroots initiative where every voice matters and every perspective contributes to the path forward. In the early stages, residents saw too many barriers: underemployment, limited job opportunities, and a lack of accessible resources. Rather than waiting for outside intervention, local supporters chose to act, pooling ideas and energy to open doors for all. Their action fostered lasting trust and set the foundation for open, transparent leadership.
Today, Yes We Will Movement! carries that founding energy - people leading together, focusing not just on individual advancement, but on the success of the whole community. We continue to honor these roots with every program, outreach event, and partnership, ensuring that every member's input shapes our future. This commitment grounds our ongoing mission to transform lives through collective action, economic opportunity, and an unwavering belief in what communities can accomplish by coming together.

Egziabihere (GODs name) -
Egzi (lord/Ruler) + Biher (nation/people)
Egziabher (or Igziabher) is an Ethiopian word from the ancient Ge'ez language meaning "Lord of the Nation/Tribe" or simply "God", used in Amharic and other Ethio-Semitic languages, particularly within the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and the Rastafari movement to refer to the Christian God. It combines ´egzi (lord/ruler) and beher (nation/tribe/world), and may drive from pre-Christian deities like Beher, becoming a Christianized term.
